Oasis Dementia Care has been carefully designed to provide the best level of care for seniors needing memory care. From our expertly trained staff to the color of our walls, and from the lighting and sound systems to the the layout of our ten common areas, everything at Oasis is chosen to help your loved one stay engaged and enjoy a better quality of life including:
- 24-hour licensed and specially trained nursing staff that provide medications and medication reminders.
- SNOEZELEN® Multisensory Environment rooms to help improve emotional states, functional behavior, cognition and communication, with a calming fish tank and blue tooth speakers to connect to personal playlists.
- Color coded hallways and personalized shadow boxes to help guide our neighbors to their own home apartment, plus familiar photography and art from their generation throughout the community.
- Customized wellness and rehabilitation programs, walking groups and exercise classes to build strength, mobility and positivity.
- Opportunity for home health and hospice to be called in when necessary to restore functionality.
OUR DINING
Our full service dining.
Because we know that food is an important part of enjoying life, our restaurant-style dining room provides three delicious meals daily, in addition to our daily snacks and special treats like ice cream socials. Our neighbors are always encouraged to come to the group dining area for meals, but can also be served in their apartment if desired. There are also a variety of fun snacks in the Activities Room Bistro or on our outdoor patio. Our dietary manager has years of experience creating nutritious menu plans, and also reviews feedback to determine if there are menu items that are liked more than others. A special emphasis is put on encouraging hydration, as well as maintaining basic feeding skills, which many people with dementia can lose without a focused program.
OUR ACTIVITIES
Engaging minds and enjoying life.
Whether it be a bowling league or a walking club, our activities are catered to the likes and preferences of our neighbors. Some may be interested in planting flowers, art classes, or a sewing group, while others may be more interested in yoga or our courtyard putting green. All of these activities help to sharpen cognitive skills, and foster the social connections for the community we call home. Oasis also provides outings on our activities bus such as trips to the casino, museums, shopping, and the farmer’s market. Family members are also welcome to pick up their loved ones for visits and outings like Sunday brunch or church.
